Unveiled in October 2018, and now available for sale worldwide, Apple’s latest releases of MacBook Air, iPad Pro and Mac Mini come refreshed and updated, with breathtaking features that will impress not just the faithful fans.
MacBook Air: major revamp after 4 years
After a rather long wait, the super thin iconic laptop has an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, up to 16GB of memory, and up to 1.5TB of SSD storage, as well as a handful of new features.
One of them is the new 13,3” Retina Display screen with hardly any framing, and quadrupled pixel density. Then comes Touch ID, coupled with the T2 chip, for fingerprint unlocking and confirming identity, e.g. in reading password-protected documents or making safe on-line payments. Let’s not forget the keyboard, now with Apple’s butterfly mechanism, providing four times more key stability than a traditional scissor mechanism, along with greater comfort and responsiveness. Below the keyboard is a 20 percent larger touchpad with a Force Touch feature.
The new MacBook Air is 10 percent lighter (less than 1.5 kg), and comes with two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports and a mini jack port, latest wireless technologies with 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, and a mini jack port.

iPad Pro: more screen, more power, more security
In designing the new iPad Pro, Apple went all for all‑screen design with the Liquid Retina for razor-sharp color accuracy, distortion‑free edges and the lowest reflectivity in the industry. The 2018 release is more responsive thanks to ProMotion technology. The 11” model features 2388 x 1668 resolution, and the 12.9” model features 2732 x 2048 resolution.
The A12X Bionic chip is as powerful as Xbox One S and makes the new iPad Pro able to run the full version of Adobe Photoshop. The chip also powers the new Face ID feature, engineered specifically for iPad Pro. The feature allows secure facial authentication to unlock your iPad, log in to apps, and make secure purchases, whether you hold the tablet in portrait or landscape.
The latest iPad Pro is just 5.9 mm thin, yet it offers improved performance with the 12‑megapixel camera and thinner speakers, and the new Apple Pencil. It is a new, versatile type of computer that can be whatever you need it to be — a keyboard, a notebook, or a canvas. Watch:

Mac mini features the Apple T2 Security Chip, which consolidates several controllers into one, and includes a Secure Enclave coprocessor that provides the foundation for encrypted storage and secure boot capabilities. The new model comes with four powerful Thunderbolt 3 USB ports and HDMI 2.0 to provide faster frame rates.
